Unlike most of the other questions on this topic mine does not concern drug use. Mine is a health question. About two years ago i was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, which basically means i have an inflamed colon. This disease absoultly has no effect over me as long as i take my medication. I would consider myself very active and would have no problem passing the physical part of the academy. I am only twenty years old and currenty enroled in a community college where i am majoring in criminal justice. I have wanted to become a LEO for as long as i can remember and had hoped to start applying as soon as i become twenty-one years old. Do any of you know for a fact that this could disqualify me? Thanks for any help in advance.

Let's see- I know an off. with Krone's Disease, another with Acid Reflux, several with ulcers, 2 with diabetes that take insulin, more officers with heart problems than I care to admit so I don't think your health problem is too much of a concern. Although now that you know all this Why would you want to start a career that in all probability will shorten your life?
