Actors Can Be Arrested For carrying Uniforms ??

A news article says New Yprk will arrest actors for carrying police uniforms to wrk on shows like Law & Order. Is this true my New York Brothers in blue ?

Actors can be arrested for carrying uniforms?

This is the first I've heard of the issue. I know that for many years NYPD had a unit whose sole task it was (is) to assist production companies filming in New York. Only guessing now, but there may have been some cases of abuse,(actor in uniform, getting drunk at a bar).Not saying that was it, but I guess it could happen. Let's hear about this from one of you NYPD Guys/Gals.
