What exactly are they wanting you to discuss? I still have notes / handouts from my legal liability class which I had at the academy and would be happy to help you out.

Did a Google search for "police liability" - depending on what level of information you have to impart to board, and what exact areas you need to discuss, here's a few:

      http://www.alalm.org/Liability%20for...perations.html

      http://www.grsmb.com/CM/Articles/Articles40.asp

      http://www.theiacp.org/documents/ind...nt&subtype_id=

There is a bunch more. It depends on what form of liability you want to talk about:

Failure to warn, failure to act, failure to train, failure to supervise, failure to direct, negligent appointment, negligent detention, negligent assignment, negligent entrustment, sexual harrassment issues, excessive force issues.....

The list goes on and on. If I had to give a 15 minute talk on liability to an interview board, I'd ask some people that did it already to find exactly what they talked about. That would allow me to focus on what was expected.

      Good luck.

        thanks

they gave each potential recruit a topic to prepare a presentation on such as DV,LE programs (D.A.R.E),etc, mine is on liability. its such a broad topic i am having trouble breaking it down.
