A recruit who is in a class that's a few classes behind my class had to take a PT assessment test with his class the other day.
The standard for a 1.5 mile run is 12:51 for males who fall within the 30-39 age group.
Dude is 37. He ran his 1.5 mile run in 28 minutes.
According to the PT staff, that may be the slowest 1.5 mile run time, assessment or actual test, in the history of all 1.5 mile runs. Even in the dead of winter(Jan 2004) with a below freezing temperature and while sick with a terrible head cold, I completed my 1.5 run in 12 minutes flat.
Does anyone else on here have a similar horror story of a fellow recruit while in the academy?
