I recently was at a LE interview in DC and noticed that the Metropolitan PD have slow pulsing blue and red lights on all the time under their main light bar. I understanding the reasoning for this is to deter
crime and help people find the police easier (Apparently got the idea from Israeli Police?).
My question is do you all think this is a good idea? And if so why don't you see it in other parts of the country or even Europe for that matter?
Sidenote: It seems like I've see a similar method used by the Ohio State Highway Patrol sometimes, but not on all the time like in D.C.
