    I got on the job when I was 19 at a part-time position while attending college.

      27 y/o and I retire when I'm 52 y/o.

            Went full-time at 26, after 18 months as a reserve officer.

              Went on as part time LEO at 21, then as a regular full time LEO at 23 and retired at 44. Not a bad program!

                I started when I was 22. I've been on for 9 1/2 years now. I'll probably do at least 30, if not 35 or even 40. I'll probably be here as long as I'm still liking it.
                Anything worth shooting is worth shooting 3 or 4 times.

                    strating early is best, like 21...do your 25, retire, draw your pension and still be young enough to work elsewhere makin 2 incomes....$$$$$$

                      23 when I started.
                      The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheepdog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed.
