State Trooper Academy Question

I am very determined to become a New York State Trooper. Saying that all goes according to plan and I go into the academy then graduate, then cant seem to get a open position as a trooper in any of the troops in the state, can I then go to nearby states and apply or do I need to then go through their academy's'?

I know this may be a stupid question, I feel like I would have to go through their tests and drills which makes sense but I am not 100% sure.

I doubt that they'll run you through a basic unless they have a place for you.

Unlike other States, NY agenceys only put candidates through their academy after they hire the candidates.
