I am watching rerun episodes of The Academy on the Reality Channel. So this made me wonder if this is pretty consistent with academy training across the country or is this just a hyped up reality show?

That academy seemed pretty high stress, I dont see how some of the people even made it into the academy based on the first couple PTs.Comment

Its one academy at one dept. All of them are not the same.
Most departments dont have thier own academy, and use regional academies.Comment

Ours was ALMOST like that, just not THAT badThe sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. It depends on the agency. LASD is regarded as one of the most difficult though. There are advantages and disadvantages to having a paramilitary academy.Originally posted by GangGreen712 View PostComment
