  • Solid or two-tone?

    Hey,

    Just for kicks...

Do you prefer solid color uniforms or two-tone uniforms?

Also, what does your department wear?

My department issues medium blue shirts and dark navy pants. That's also what I prefer.

If officers have worn both...which is warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter?

    Thanks, in advance, for voting!

I wear navy blue plants and shirts... I like it. But for me, preference is based on department type... I guess. Municipal police look best in solid uniforms, deputies look best in the light and dark brown uniforms, and troopers look best in light and dark blue uniforms.

I work dark green pants and a tan shirt when I worked as a coon cop... I hated it. The shirt looked like crap after a hot day from all the sweat, and the pants were kind of ugly...

Queensland Police wear dark blue trousers and light blue shirts with dark blue epaulette slides.
If at first you don't succeed, remove all evidence of your attempt.

We also have a dark blue "field" uniform which some of the specialist units (doggies etc) wear which adds a little more emphasis to certain situations
No-one is completely useless, they can always serve as a bad example

We have the traditional (well for the UK anyway), black wool trousers, white shirt, dark blue epaulettes and a black tie.

                    My department has 3 uniforms..

Our classic two tone White shirt and green pants with grey stripe (day shifts)
Our solid forest green shirt and pants with grey stripe (for night shifts)
A Tactical black uniform BDU pants and black raid T-shirt with gold lettering

I like khaki, dark green, LAPD blue or black. I HATE the french blue for police uniforms(no offense directed at any who wear them....)

At my agency we wear LAPD navy (one solid color) with matching Stetson hat.

Our neighboring town PDs wear solid colors, too (Bel Air- Black, Aberdeen- Grey). The County S/O wears solid "mailman pants blue".

I personally like two-tone uniforms, myself.
