    Possibly.

"Lazy eye" is not a medical term and is commonly applied to several conditions.

Disqualifying medical conditions are on the record. See those of Washington State for an example. An opthamologist can give you a better answer than I can.

It varies. Each department has its own standards. I know someone with amblyopia who was a police officer in Alaska for a few years, and another one who is a reserve officer in California.

As long as you still meet the vision requirements, it is not an issue. I have a bit of a lazy eye, but still 20/20 vision. I was under the impression it is more of a cosmetic issue.

One of the transport deputies at my department has a lazy eye.

In my opinion, any department that disqualifies you for having a lazy eye is full of ****.

Any insight on how they made this possible?

Search forums for term "Amblyopia" and it should help you out. O may have a couple of post myself relating to your current post and concerns.
