I recently took the walk-in NYPD in August and scored well in the 90's plus got 5 points for being a city resident. My first question is how long does the process take to get on the job? I've recently heard of people getting in the academy within a few months of taking the exam. I have my BA, all my other paperwork is in order and nothing else in my medical or criminal background to worry me.
My second question is how much running is done daily in the academy. I am currently training in the gym doing both weights and running. I usually do about 1 mile a day. Is that enough?
