  • Returning from deployment

For all the officers that were deployed with the National Guard or Reserves, when you returned from your deployment did the dept require any type of re training before you could go back out on the streets? Were you able to get back on to the shift/ schedule you were on before, or was were you placed where ever there was a need? How did the rest of the dept treat you upon your return?
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

Our department made our single deployee undergo a psyche evaluation, given he did re-enlist just activate his inactive reserve status just so he could go to play in the sand. Every one was glad to have him back, but they pulled him off the street pretty quickly and put him in the bureau, some have speculated to curtial the complaints that were rolling in.... He is one of the finest officers I have ever met and is more motivated and dedicted at doing the daily in and outs of the job after around 18 years than any FNG I have met.
