    Three Day Course:
    Instruction will cover techniques, principals and application of Underwater Criminal Investigation methods, including planning techniques, organization procedures, problems and hazards of Underwater Crime Investigation.

    Course Goals:
    To teach the Underwater Criminal Investigator techniques, principles, and operational procedures for specific operations. This program is compatible with existing administrative policies, with legal and political considerations.

    Pre-Course Study coverage will include but not be limited to the following subjects:

    1. The Investigative Dive Team
    2. Drowning – What Really Happens
    3. Body Recovery
    4. Investigation Of Death
    5. Recovering Skeletal Remains: Definition
    6. Body Recovery Reporting Procedures
    7. Scuba Fatality – Accident Investigation
    8. Firearms Recovery
    9. Aircraft Recovery (Optional Module)
    10. Vehicle Recovery
    11. Court Testimony
    12. The Collection and Preservation Of Physical Evidence
    13. Types Of Evidence

    Check outs will include but not be limited to the following scenarios:
     Search and Recovery of accident victims involving Boats, Autos or Commercial Vehicles
     Underwater Diver Communication
     Diver Safety and First Aid
     Diver Equipment
     Deep Diving
     Rope and Rope Handling
     Navigation
     Limited to Zero Visibility Searches
     Multiple Victim Recovery from vehicular accidents
     Object Locating and Handling
     U/W Crime Scene Techniques
     Light Salvage Recovery using lift bags
