  • FTO 'checkoff' lists... skills

I have the task of helping compile the FTO policy/manual for my small rural department.

What we're really lacking is a skills 'check-off' list that is task specific, rather than the more general 'evaluations' we have.

    Stuff like:

VSAC/USAC: (fill out, log, file and mail)
    Vehicle maintenence & checks
    knowledge/use of radio
book an arrestee into the jail
    put together case folder

    etc. etc.

If you've got a check-off list that your agency uses and likes, I would really like to get my hands on it rather than reinvent the wheel!

Attachments can be emailed to prcc1037 at ao(hel)l dot com (counting on the right people to be able to get around the spamblocker )

    Thanks.

I am from a small agency and i had to make one for my department and i managed to copy this one from different agencies then out it together. You prob can rearrange everything here, but just use it as a reference point. Hope it helps

I just went through the training for FTO here in Kentucky. We were taught the San Jose Model. I still have the disks if you need it. However you will need to be certified as an FTO when you hear about the liability involved.
