    Emergency Communications Consulting is happy to announce we will once again be hosting weekend 911 Training during the month of November.

    NECI 911 Emergency Communications Officer
    Learn how to dispatch police and fire services. This 40 hour course teaches the knowledge and skills needed for emergency communications officers in the 21st century. The most up to date information on the technology and issues surrounding today’s public safety communications center will be reviewed in class. You will learn about roles, responsibilities, legal aspects, interpersonal communications, dispatch equipment, telephone communication techniques and call processing, as well as 911 call handling, radio communication techniques, and stress management. Students will hear recordings of actual 911 calls and emergency radio transmissions from incidents that have occurred nationwide. All of instructors work as emergency dispatchers in 911 centers.

    Course Cost: $250
    Course Dates: November 2, 3, 9, 10, and 16
    Course Times: 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

    The Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) is the principle link between the public in need of emergency medical assistance and the EMS system. This course is 32 hours, you will be learning about the responsibility of the EMS system, legal aspects, interpersonal communications, giving medical instructions by telephone, resource allocation, use of emergency medical guide cards. Course includes a day and a half of role-play and simulations involving 911 calls. After successful completion of this course students will have the fundamentals to start handling 911 calls that are medical in nature, and will be qualified to work in any 911 dispatch center in New Jersey.

    Course Cost: $250
    Course Dates : November 17, 23, 24, 30
    Time: 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

    EMD students who are NJ EMT's may be eligible for up to 21 CEU credits. Attendance at all dates is required for certification. EMD students must have a valid CPR card and have successfully completed a Basic 911 Course.

    We also have CPR Instructors for those who need a CPR card.
