    FEMA Terrorism Training: Advanced Analytic Techniques Workshop


    The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Terrorism Prevention Exercise Program (TPEP) in coordination with the South Caroina Law Enforcement Division, South Carolina Information and Intelligence Center invite you to attend the Advanced Analytic Techniques Workshop (AATW) scheduled for September 27-29.

    The AATW will provide a forum to expand upon current investigatory and analytical capabilities as
    it related to understanding of terrorist mechanism for funding and communications. The AATW provides new and innovative of both lead and evidentiary information, including the potential benefits from the latest internet and “Smartphone” technologies.

    To be effective in addressing today’s counterterrorism and criminal threats, analysts and investigators must function in a collaborative, information-sharing, team environment. The interactive breakout sessions will provide the participants the opportunity to interact with fellow analysts and investigators as they practice their acquired skills. The participants will explore solutions by analyzing acquired data to bring the investigation to a logical conclusion.

    The AATW will be held from September 27-29, 2011, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, registration will begin at 7:15 am.

    This workshop is by invitation only and it is strongly encouraged that the highest priority be given for your participation.

    To register for this workshop, please go to www.TPEPregistration.com, no later than Friday, September 16 at 3:00 pm.

    Please fill out all field on the registration page. You will receive registration confirmation within 5 days.

    Any additional logistical materials will be provided at that time.

      From what was passed along with the posted information, you can register with the system and then register for the training. I admit that I have not done either though.
