            No, you certainly do not have to be current law enforcement to take FEMA courses. In fact, there probably are as many or more students from other disciplines. When I took my first emergency management class, there were far more people from fire service, for example.

                    Free Online Training

                    I am starting to get back into the training mode. Of all the courses listed, does anybody here have any suggestion on where to start first? I am leaning towards online FEMA training right now just to take whatever may have been added since taking a bunch of them years ago. I also might have to see if I could get into any of the counter-drug stuff either down in Iowa or in Wisconsin.

                      I'd start with ICS-100/200/700 if you don't have it. Those seem to farily common on the "want" list.

                        Everyone in DoD has to take this every year....doesnt mean too much really, but civilian agencies might not care
