Three-day seminar will provide attendees with insight and understanding of fundamental methods of criminal investigative analysis, behavioral aspects of violent crime, as well as the latest investigative techniques and strategies. This course is designed for street level law enforcement officers investigating homicide, sexual assault, missing children, child abductions, threats to officials, and other violent crimes. Attendees are introduced to FBI programs and resources that are available to investigators without charge.
Case sensitive information is discussed. All Instructors are members of the FBI’s National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC), Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia.
Case Consults:
In addition to the seminar agenda, members of the BAU will also be conducting private, independent
consultations on unsolved cases. Agencies interested in this opportunity to consult with the FBI on an open case or cold cases should contact SA Erin Sheridan ([email protected]) by May 1 for more information.
Case(s) must be submitted to the BAU by May 15 for review. (All case materials should be made available at the seminar. Case presentations should be in Power Point format.)
