funding/ cost?? please help!!

I have finally convinced our sheriff that we are in dire need for a K9.

he said to find a way to fund it and work up a presentation for the board as to cost. and we will go from there.
I have looked for the last two days and have found very little in help on either (grants and other forms of funding other than donation from our community) and expected cost (dog, training, transforming a regular squad to a k9 unit, etc. .)

Im hoping some of you have had to go through something similar and could help point me in the right direction..

I have gotten donations for two of my three partners. Hit up businesses you serve, Walmart, etc. Depending on where you are, there may be other options as well.

As far as costs, and setting the unit up, PM me your name, agency and email address. I have proposals, cost information and other material I am happy to share with others wanting to start a K9. I don't contact your agency, but I do vet to make sure the information goes to LEO's.
