  • The other verdict is imminent...

If the racist mobs don't get what they want, Democrat-run cities will be looted and torched.

Somebody should put the Roof Koreans on stand-by.

I have a permanent response agreement that only needs one hour of notice. I even have a large stock of rice and Kimchee in my stuff.

Not going to happen, those guys are toast.

One exception might be the third guy who filmed everything. He MIGHT be found Not Guilty.

        Looks like you were right.

Hopefully this means less riots, looting, arsons, and race-based assaults and murders...

The racist mob in this case is going to get exactly what they deserve -- life in prison.

Hopefully it means less of this vigilante-bullsh*t. That's the real takeaway here.

Now that it's over..... what the hell were those dumb asses thinking?

Now our weak *** governor signed the law repealing our citizen's arrest law. They kept the self defense laws intact but what about the home owners that catch a burglar in their home?

I don’t see that repeal lasting past a Super Court review.

What about them? Castle Doctrine should still apply.

I think citizen's arrest is another bad idea. Better to be a good witness than open yourself up to the potential fallout on the back side.

How many citizens can correctly articulate probable cause? What about lawful use of force to affect said arrest? It's very unlikely an untrained person can possibly get this right and then has no qualified immunity.

Citizens Arrest is a Cornerstone of our Democratic way of life. We empower the citizens to arrest law breakers.

Castle Doctrine and citizens arrest are 2 different things. Citizens still have a right to protect themselves but not arrest anyone. Now the law uses the term "detain" and only applies to those in the merchant retail establishments, restaurants (e. g.dine and dash), licensed private detectives and security guards and any Georgia LEO any where in the state.

What about the people that happen to use lethal or the threat of lethal force to stop a forcible felony (e.g. rape, armed robbery, agg assault etc)?

Hold the subject at gun point and be charged with false imprisonment? Run the subject off and hope he doesn't hurt, rape or kill someone else?
