    Let me add that many times people who are not in gangs but do write graffitti use things like crowns and arrows etc. to decorate their tag. Sort of like ornaments or to just fill space around the tag name. These people can be serious graffitti artists, so they will deface as much property as possible, but they are not in any hard core gang. Also the quality of the lettering is an indicator, the more complex and meticulous the lettering, the more I look for a graffitti artist as oppose to a gang member. However if the letters are like these, just ugly, regular and unpracticed I think a wannbe gang or graffitti artist or new graffitti artist or a true gang member marking his territory, of course there are always exceptions to the rules.

    Our latin king can only count to 3...we never see a 5 pointed crown. Now, the other gangs, they communicate and by working as a herd can count to 5.

    looks like latin kings due to the crown and left arrow. left = people which the latin kings fall under.

    I think Himso may be right, I've seen a five point hand sign as well though.
    Graffiti-wise, I've only seen the Latin Kings use the five pointer, but with so many different off shoots after King Tone went away, who the hell knows.

    Latin kings use a three point crown...in addition, you have an arrow to the left which is the second sign. The vice lords (or people nation) use the number 5. The People nation aligns with the bloods which, btw, also lean to the left (for hand signs etc) and favor red and the letter B. The crips are blue and move to the right...they use the letter C and call their smaller units "sets". Based on the three point star AND the left arrow, I'd go with Latin kings or Bloods. If this is in an area that favors crips or blue, then you're looking at a warning sign and it's intended as a threat to the other area gangs. However, if it's in an area predominantly bloods then it's a marking to claim territory.

    I'm working on the letters, so give me a few.

    They use both. Most graffitti will be 5 point crowns and most hand signs are 3 point.

    The latin kings use the crown along with tattoos of the spanish cross, 3 dots in a triangle to signify "my crazy life". They are low level tats. It's possible that the rest of the grafitti is a latin king's name.
    As far as the turf war goes I hope they are all successful in eradicating each other.

    The 3 point crown is a gang sign. It represents the 360 degrees of knowledge as well as growth and development. The rest could be someones name or an acronym for something. Depending on where you found it and who made it, it could be some wanna be or a legit banger. I hope this helps.

    Graffitti--Recognize?

    I attached a file of a tag that was found in town in numerous places.
    [FONT=Arial]
    Does this look familiar to anyone?

    Just trying to figure out if this is true gang graffitti, or if someone is just screwing around! If anyone recognizes please let me know!

    Thank you
