Okay...I did misread your post. If I had the requisite equipment and shots (if needed) then yes, I would.

But let's say that was the case (from the first post). As an officer, would you put forth the extra-effort in locating the body if you knew it was in the land field?
Personally I would try to assist if there were others that would be there with the search as well. I would have the needed shots and precautions.

I'm really glad I don't work at your PD, where, apparently based on your experience, officers wouldn't bother making any significant effort to find a dead black woman but would do all they could to find a lost white boy. Is that what you are saying?
It was late and I didn’t initially get to do a full search for articles, but the articles I found were consistent with the other post. Thanks DallasCntyCop for those links.

I think I'd have some issues, too, if my mom told me this:
At Monday's hearing, aunt Janice Shepherd said the suspect "lost it" as a teenager after learning that his stepfather was not his biological father.
"I told him, 'You're going to snap. You're going to explode.' And he couldn't handle it," she said.
She said he found his own birth certificate identifying his biological father as her brother, Robert Miller Shepherd, who died in 1979.

Tynesha Stewart Murder Case
(This is a story that I have heard of and saw this post on another forum. What do you think?)
"Tynesha Stewart's Body Not Worth Recovering"
"For those of you who don't know, Tynesha Stewart was a young (18 or 19) black girl who was stragled to death in the past week by her boyfriend. The guy threw her body in a dumpster (where else?) and the dumpster was emptied "several times" (probably once, maybe twice) in between the murder and the guy giving himself up.
Harris County (that's Houston TX) Sheriff has decided recovering her body from the landfill site is not worth the bother. Apparently the officers involved might have to have tetanus and Hep-A shots before they start. Apparently Houston LEOs don't get these routinely as there aren't booths dedicated to this service at every Starbucks.
That the young lady was black surely has nothing to do with it. Had she been a 12-year old boy scout lost in the woods a mere mile-and-a-half from his campsite I'm sure they'd be moving heaven and earth.
Rant over. Carry on."Tags: None
