hi. i filled out the CA dmv registration thing that hides my address ... i forget the form.. what exactly do i benefit from it? so if someone tries to run my plate my address won't show? just curious

what other things can i do?

i heard that I can get another ca driver license with my station address on it. is this true?

i hide my id/badge.. hide my uniforms and equipment from neighbors.. i know i'm paranoid.

Heh -- can't really hide up here...shortly after I was hired, I was congratulated by someone I didn't even know -- because they saw my picture in the paper. That's small-town living for you, I guess!

Once your DMV-57 is filed, if anyone runs your DL or plates, the return will show your address as your department name. It's a bit of privacy protection.
