    I've changed up gear so much it's not even funny.
    The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheepdog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed.

      I concur with Chiefjack, in addition to disposable exam gloves I suggest disposable nose - mouth masks and eye protection shields.

      Unless you work for Mayberry PD or become a career house mouse, there is a likelihood you will be exposed to elements and or disease that can render you critically ill with possible long term residual effects, that is if you survive.

      From personal experience it’s alarming to wake up in a hospital bed overhearing a hallway conversation between your family, Chiefs staff and a Department Chaplin.

      Remember bullets are not the only thing that can kill you.

        i keep a plastic file tote in the trunk for all my court documents.

          The essentials for me are :
          -road flares
          -patrol rifle
          -plate carrier
          -extra vest with clearly identifiable "POLICE" markings all over it for if im off duty and roll up on something
          -rain coat
          -file organizer with any forms i may need
          -a good flashlight is a must
          -plenty of gloves & hand sanitizer
          -GPS
          -snacks for if im on an incident for an extended amount of time
          -a book or two for when it gets slow
