  • Deadly Force

I am currently in week 11 of a police academy and need to write a paper on Use of Lethal Force. I need to include something called "PEDA" or "PIDA" but I can't find what this stands for. I basically have to write a ficticious or actual situation showing AOJ and touch upon my dept. policy and so on. Does anyone know what PEDA stands for? Thanks

    PEDA Process

perceptions, evaluations, decisions and actions -the PEDA process http://stickgrappler.tripod.com/psy/dlcourts.html http://www.americanfirearmsschool.co...ment/iuoft.cfm The links touch on deadly force escalation and a course that teaches the PEDA process. Good luck and hope you get an A. Hope I didn't post too late for this to be of use to you. Please consider my response in appreciation for a Vermont officer assisting me when I got lost in the Berkshires in Massachusetts and found myself in Vermont!
