FYI-
Thanks for everyone's prayers about the metro New Orleans area. Everyday gets better and better.
About 20% of Jefferson Parish has power and is recovering well. Most everyone has returned to gather what is left and remove wet carpet and mold.
Orleans parish is about 50% underwater still, not much law enforcement to do anymore as everyone is gone. Meet lots of NG from all over the USA. Sad that the 1st time they see the city it is like this. The water totally reeks of death and sewage.
St. Bernard Parish is all together about GONE! The SO started out the storm with about 300 deputies and is now down to 60! He had to deputize the entire fire dept. Some braves stories will come out of this parish in the coming days.
We have had a ton of LE agency from all over. MI, TX and NYC were in full force. Meet some cool people from all over, but now they are board, due to the area being shut-down.
