Just when the Taser arrives, we only have two on the street.

Just curious, is your department planning on getting anymore? Or is this just a trial phase? Unfortunately we don't carry tazers, but I know we have alot of situations that could've gone a little better for officers had they had them. Of course there's no way to tell now, but in my opinion, it could've done a world of difference for the first couple of guys on the scene in your case. I'm all for anything that going to decrease potential for injury for us.

We have two tasers that go out per shift. They are kept in a box in the car, they are not carried on our person. Ususally the Supervisor and the Cover car have one, those were the last people to respond to my scene....

We usually have 6-7 cars out on patrol at any time. My department is planning on getting more tasers, I would like to look into carrying one all the time... wont do me much good in my car when I need it.
