Need Advice!!!!

If anyone has any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it. I met the love of my life, and she is planning to move back to Alabama. I would do about anything including switching my location and job for her. Currently I am a full-time police officer in MN and would like to know what is required to get hired by a dept. in Alabama,(school, tests, etc...). I do have past Military Police background, and I am curious what steps it takes to get hired in Alabama, and how long it may take. Thanks

As far as Alabama, I had a job offer there (its right across the river) which I considered. I have heard the academy was pretty intense like a boot camp for 3 months, rumors, maybe founded, maybe not. I do know that the Alabama officers I've met had their stuff together and was really impressed with them. Just my two cents, maybe some Alabama POST certified officers will chime in?

As far as this girl goes, I've only known her for a short time, but she is perfect. It may be a mistake moving my whole life for someone if I have only known her for a very short time. I just know if I do, that we are perfect for eachother. She has had plans on moving back to Alabama for some time, and I just recently came into the picture just 2 weeks before she had been planning on leaving. She has a job, an apartment, and friends of 2 years there. I asked her if she would stay for a little while to see if it would work out, but she recently told me she is moving back. She wanted to know if I could transfer to a dept in Alabama, and she is leaving on July 8th. Im on limited time to figure this out.....

I have no beneficial advice to give really, but I just moved FROM Mobile, AL to California. I lived in Mobile for 10 1/2 years. I've heard from a few people (one of those people being the son of a former Mobile city police officer) that it's not a great city/department to work for. Which part of Alabama would you be going to anyways?

Not sure what is meant by hold the move in prayer. I have been looking at moving anywhere in the southern most part of Alabama. While in the military, I stayed at Ft. McClellan Alabama, and I did not like the area. Hopefully someone who works in Alabama can advise me on wether I would need to do an academy or not since I have been a cop for a while. Thanks for the advice.
