CB Mic Holder

Anybody use those adhesive-backed mic holders? Do they hold up?

My Crown Vic doesn't have any, and not sure if I should/could go drilling holes into the dash... I thought I could mount them to the switch box with the adhesive.

I have never liked the adhesive ones. I know some people like the magnetic ones (you basically leave the holder on the mic and just use the magnet to hold it where ever). Maybe that would be an option.

They don't hold up long.......................I have them for my ham radio mics (which are a lot lighter weight than CB mics-----------and always have some Gorilla Glue around because they keep falling off when it gets hot

Thanks, I think the magnetic ones might stick to my switch box, if not, I'll ask fleet guys to install the ones with screws...
