Want your thoughts on this AR

I'm looking to get your thoughts on this AR15 I'm looking at through Buds Police Supply.

I've read the post by jwise from a long time ago and am still learning but this seemed like a pretty good price.

It's not bad for the money. I have this one and have probably put 200 rounds through it. If you'll notice though, it's a flat top....no iron sights. I put another 250.00 in it for quad rails and sights being we can't qualify without them.

I'd avoid Bushmaster. There are better options for not much more money.

You're getting what you pay for with an AR.

Bushmasters are fine weapons, there are better and worse out there.

AR's have gotten to be a lot like 1911's, you can take a stock one and do so many things to it to make it better.

It lacks back up irons as someone else said.

I chose to put a lot of money into my AR up front to avoid having to keep frankensteining it later.

http://palmettostatearmory.com/2557.php Is a good deal as long as PSA worked out their build quality, the optic alone is 400 bucks and it has back up irons and a 1:7 chrome lined barrel.

as others have said, look at BCM if you want a cheaper workhorse.

The carbon 15 is a POS. It uses a lot of carbon fiber in its construction and it feels like a poorly made toy.(one of our officers bought one).

Spikes tactical is hard to beat for the money. I highly suggest checking them out.
