A Different "The Squad Room"

Good day, all!

Officer.com is proud to announce the opening of a new Squad Room. It's been in the works for awhile and now it's up and running.

The Squad Room is a social site hosted by Officer.com and designed for those in the law enforcement profession. We have also invited select members of the industry who serve those who protect and serve.

At this time we ARE NOT opening The Squad Room to anyone under the age of 21 UNLESS they can prove their sworn status with a law enforcement agency.

SO, if you are a police officer, sheriffs deputy, special agent for a federal agency, etc and want to come join in the fun, then we invite you in!

Umm... Is everyone creating accounts on that side with their real names? I just viewed it, and without logging in or creating an account, I learned the real names of some users. And was even able to post a comment anonymously on someone's profile (sorry, SgtCHP!).

Is there a verification process for determining whether someone is a LEO?

That may be, but I don't think it's a very smart idea to post your picture and all of that information with your real name. Bad guys have the internet too.

Is it going to be secure? Secure as in nothing can be viewed without a membership that requires verification of LEO status?

Man, I hate to sound negative, especially with the work I know you guys have put into the new Squad Room. Quite honestly though, I would rather just have a place where we can talk without having to worry about wannabe's getting into the conversation. A verification process so to speak, where the administrators of the forum take care of it... something that the general public can't see.
