  • Ask A Cop.......Real answers from Real Police!

LOL This gets hilarious from time to time. Posters "Ask" questions which are really slanted scenarios tending to heavily favor "their" concern.

When they get real answers from REAL Cops who due to experience, knowledge and common sense, are able to separate the wheat from the chaff they feel insulted

The "deer in the city limits" is a prime example of one such post

Even after having his question answered the OP continues to rant about his presentation and not liking the replies

Well let me be the first to say (said this before)

    I don't care

Not ready for a "real" answer Then don't ask
"a band is blowing Dixie double four time You feel alright when you hear the music ring"

That's why I don't even bother wasting my time in that particular forum. I used to help answer questions on a couple of drag racing forums I belong to and ran into the same thing. I guess they can pay some hack defense attorney 200 bucks an hour to tell them the same thing.

Amen to that! Another thing that drives me nuts is how they try to justfy EVERYTHING! How many tims do we hear "I know a ton of people that have done worse, so raping that teenager so I could steal her money and go buy crack isn't that bad. What are my chances of getting hired after this? Oh, and should I answer yes to (insert question here)?"

RAAAAH! Why are we expected to be knowledgeable of every LE agency's policies on hiring and conduct?

      Sorry. [/SOAPBOX]

"...but I only smoked weed recreationally in high school and community college. I haven't smoked in at least 12 months. I'm a changed person now. What are my chances of getting hired?"

Probably not many chances of being a cop, but POTUS, perhaps. Worked for Clinton. I hate and avoid that section of the forum like the plague now. It's nice to celebrate with people when they get their final job offer, but the rest of the questions can be a waste of time.

            I love that forum.

It's far better than when I have to actually process a recruit, do the entire BI and get back a credit score of 410 (That's right folks 410) and find out they thought that ignoring your bills for 7 years means their "Statute of limitations" has run out.

            Not kidding.

This person had a 4 year from Perdue...

                LOL @ Kimble

I like the ones that get all offended by responses. I can understand long time members here getting in a heated debate and taking things personal sometimes...I get that. I don't understand why you'd get your panties in a wad over some stranger on the internet responding to your question.

I don't agree with your opinion, but I respect its straightforwardness in terms of wrongness.

Sometimes I like the debate, sometimes I get tired of it. But it is never personal just like dealing with these fools in real life.

Agreed. You know from those two words that there is no point in replying.

I stay away from there. The only time I head in there is when I need a good laugh or when someone PMs me and says, "Sarge, you GOTTA see this one!!"

I just figure their favorite porn site is down and their bored. Rather than get mad about their responses now, I just look forward to seeing their brains being taken out and played with while they watch. Kinda has the same voyeristic effect IMO

Purdue is the university, Perdue is who my family raised chickens for when I was a kid. Not trying to be the spelling police, but its a common mixup. One that's often led to the question of "Why does a university want 40,000 chickens?"
                          I miss you, Dave.

Agree totally with your thoughts. But, then,..................Ain't it really kind of fun to screw with those clowns? Gotta love the self rightous clown who admits to doing 95 in a 45, but still wants advice on how to beat the ticket. In the field, we have to try to be nice to these mental midgets. Here, we don't have to.
