Calif. Institution For Men State Prison, Chino, CA
Levels 1,2,3 and Ad-Seg. Electrified fences on Lev. 2 and 3. Build in 1940 as the famous "Prison without walls!" Things have changed somewhat. Movies filmed here: American Me, Godfather, and Unchained. Probably missed some.

Just joined the group and reading some old posts when I came up on this one.....Did you mean Columbia CI, CCA, or Lake City Detention Center? There is no such thing as Lake City CI..........

Oh yeah...lol...I started at UCI for 2 years and transfered to Columbia CI last year. My husband has worked at FSP, UCI, and now at Columbia total of 13 years

My question is how is Florida State correction?

I am currently a Detective in New Jersey, but have been wanting to move to Florida for the longest. I always seem to hit a bump in the road when applying for different LE agencies in florida, so i decided to go back into corrections and move my way back up the chain of Law Enforcement.


I was a correction officer for the first 6 years of my career and have worked for the shiriff's, local police and now currenlty a detective for the prosecutors office.


any insight in State corrections would be appreciated. I'm looking into Charlette C.I., Hardee C.I and Desoto C.I.. I was also thinking if i could move up the ranks quickly i would just stay in corrections.
