So the big rumor that's been doing around our place as of late is that all FCI Mediums will be getting #2's in all the housing units. Has anybody else heard of this? in625shooter

Being retired I'm a couple days behind some stuff The thought sounds good but when they can't man #2's at USP's not sure how they plan on pull off mediums

Just because you were rated BQ means nothing. You could set on that list for 6 months. It depends on when the institution request a list from Grand Prarie for interviews.

It could be within a month or longer.

Poor management, violent inmates, etc. I’m in a trade union now but I’m looking for a change, don’t want to walk away if I’d be walking into an ever bigger headache.

The issue with olaces like Brooklyn and most MCCs as well ad California and one or 2 other states is simple. The local LE and corrections jobs pay more than BOP does.

Where most of the country BOP pays sometimes double or more what a state DOC or LE agency pays.

Most places BOP wants experienced state DOC folks where California specifically people gire in BOP to get that Golden State money. NYC is the same way

A couple issues Cory who ran it got tired of begging for folks to help out on the fees to run it. AND it became over run with inmate families asking questions.

I took and passed the Core Value Assessment Test (CVA) right before the hiring freeze and reapplied 10/1. Can someone confirm if it is good for one year or if you have to take it again each time you apply?

Hello All,

I’m thinking that this is just due to the holidays but on December 21st I was notified that I needed to complete an OF-5 form online and call HR to set up an interview with the FCC Coleman unit. I completed the form and began calling HR. I called the number that was provided with the OF-5 form for several consecutive days and left voicemails. I never heard back so I looked online to see if there was another number and I found a different number listed online for HR of that unit. I called it and I got the voicemail of the HR manager. I also left her a voicemail. My due date was 12/28 and that date has since passed. Again I’m thinking and hoping that once the holidays are behind us that they will return to their office and I’ll get a return phone call. However, does anyone have any other advice? Thank you in advance.

My joint is starting four hours of mandatory training for all staff, both custody and support/non-custody, on the ASP baton which apparently everyone will start carrying. There is no Program Statement, no institutional supplement, no memo, just the training schedule in groups of 10 which came out last week via email. Anyone know anything about this?

Yes mine is too apparently Its a USP thing. My joint is also doing 12hr compressed schedules for Co’s. Apparently its supposed to happen bureau wide but we shall see
