    Any chance there is someone here who works the Polunsky Unit here in Texas?

    No, but I hope to finish my career there. Just the thought of 4 days on and 4 days of fishing makes me giddy.

        Actually I am waiting for my son to graduate from HS before I attempt to make it over there. So at least 3 more years. I have heard from several fellow COs that it is actually hard to get in over there. I guess I will find out.

          I was a court transport officer just before I moved into federal inmate transport. I was one of two guards who were chosen by the DA and the Judge to guard a cap murder defendant. He was guilty as home-made sin and was found guilty by the jury. It took about 7 hours of deliberations to give him the needle. He sits in the Polunsky unit as we speak (I HOPE! lol) His first appeal is up for review right now, I believe. I have no doubt they will deny it. Then we get to the appeal that can drag on for years. He'll probably be there when you get there! lol

                Sorry for the delayed response, I took a little R & R. Yes, he will probly be there when I arrive as the death penalty moves slower than Christmas.
