Navy Police State College, PA

USAJobs has State College listed as a location hiring for Civilian Navy Police officers. I'm not able to find any information on it or any Navy Installations in the area. If anybody has any info it'd be appreciated.

There is no installation near State College. PSU University Park has a DoD research facility however they use Act 235 certified security guards. The closest installation is Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania

There's a naval ROTC unit there. They probably get a UIC code which places it on the list. Much like how West Palm Beach FL has a facility but no civilian police officers there.

There is an applied research lab at Penn State in State College, PA affiliated with the US Dept of the Navy. A lot of their work is sensitive in nature and isn’t gonna be widely publicly known.

So yes there is a navy facility at Penn State. Due to this work there also is a NCIS presence in State College as well.
