Possible change to GS 0083 retirement

The surprising thing is several Dwms are co sponsors so thats a plus Id suspect if it has any issue it will be the Senate They seem to derail a lot. Hope it passea for those that would benifit as they should

I think it's more important to just hope that there is enough bipartisan support so that it can make to the floor of the House and Senate for a vote to pass.

The same bill in various forms posted year after year for the last 25 years . Hopefully it will pass.

Parity and equity are often fuzzy concepts in the G. No 6c for the 0083 series who face the public all day and every day but 1811s sitting in a cubicle thumbing through seized records half their career get to retire at 50. Life is not fair but it never has been.

0083s deserve 6c because no one should wrestle an angry hothead when they are 64 but do IRS collection specialists and CBP property specialists deserve early retirement? Hard no from me.

Hopefully it happens. It would certainly help the 0083 agencies with the retention issues.
