  • Air Force civilian police, San Antonio

    Hello everyone,

I’m currently a VA officer in Nebraska but sorely miss Texas. Currently, I am contemplating moving to San Antonio and am aware of a potential opening with the AF civilian police.

I will not have to attend attend the academy again, as I’ve already attended the extended one for the VA, but I am curious what the PT and weapons qualification requirements are. Also, are the AF police credentialed and covered under LEOSA?

Those that are current AF police in San Antonio: Do you enjoy the work? Schedule?

    Thank you!

You'll have to do the AF PT test, Annual QC, and I think they are covered under LEOSA after paying for credentials (so I have heard)

Statutory authority. None of the drama that JBSA currently has.
