  • DACP/DASG Hot Weather Uniform

Our department is trying to come up with the proper uniform. I've been digging through the 190 but our uppers are looking for examples. Polo, proper pants, ect... Anyone have any examples? Google isn't popping much up.

This is ours although you won't find it anywhere in AR 190-56 it's more like 190-Chief

    3.) Summer Uniform (optional):

a.) Shirt: 5.11 Tactical, Performance Polo, Navy Blue, 100% Smart Weave Polyester, Jersey Knit Polo. All patches sewn on (DA Police patch, American Flag, DA Police Badge), Cloth Name Tape. Only Navy Blue T-shirt will be worn underneath.

b.) Shorts, 5.11 Tactical, Taclite Pro Short, Navy Blue, Poly cotton/Rip Stop, 9 ½” inseam

c.) Belt: Black in color, Rugged and durable web design or leather with a heavy duty buckle.

d.) Boots: Black in color, 6” or less boot height, Black Tennis Shoes (No logos visible).

e.) Hat: Dept issued Ball cap

I can't tell you how well that uniform works because zero officers have gone that route in the two years since the new policy got implemented. Our bike guys wear generic blue in color shorts with cargo pockets and white polo's with their normal duty gear. Hope this helps!

Disregard! Got it approved today. Same shirt concept, but with 5.11 TDU pants, instead of shorts. Will definitely be a step up from the standard duty uniform we have now!!!
