I am being rated under the NSPS pay scale the pay is higher under it retention and merit what i've been told. I have not really found any decent web pages for DA Police besides just looking up 0083 and reading job description through CPOL or USAJOBS the Equivelant to the position they started me at is a GS-6if the lights go on someone is paying the bill.

I was NSPS before I resigned. It isnt all that bad. The self evaluations are pretty retarded but its copy and paste. Change names, socials and you're good to go. The problem is that you gotta have this ridiculous password just to log into this stupid system. My transition from GS to NSPS got me another $1.50 per hour.

Hey Priorarmymp, I just applied for a job down here in Ft Stewart, Hunter AAF area, Savannah Ga. They had some jobs on CPOL, and I guess they are hurting cause they posted it twice. Anyways, my resume was refferred to the hiring people, so I guess it was picked up by the computer selection? How long did it take for you to get some sort of call back? I talked to one guy at Stewart, and he said it was really fast, he was called in to speak to chief, and he took a PT test, and he was hired....Can you tell me alittle about yoru process? thanks

It is a little drawn out I would say roughly 2-3 weeks before interview I called the PMO to verify they received my resume form the pull and was interviewed via the phone and then about a week after that was contacted with a conditional offer by CPAC then they set u up for drug test and physical thats like another week once all that cleared then I had to do the sf-86 for secret clearance and wait on that once they get your nac results back they can give u a final offer and set u up with a start date al and all probably a few months before u startif the lights go on someone is paying the bill.

As a DA officer switching from one position to the other, you would think that my process would be real quick...................................NO try 4 months from the time I INTERVIEWED, to the time of start, plus the lag time from closing date to interview, 5 months total. And do not get me started with the waver process I have to go through. Do not despair, though as most of the issues with me at least is with the local CPAC. Now then to answer your questions, yes if you were referred your name made it to a list, where on the list is any ones guess, hopefully it is in the top 5, either way the process should take a bout 2 weeks for each stage, the holdups are going to be your physical, and the security clearance, you are at the mercy of departments outside the agency. I hope that you do not have the issues that I and my department have. Good luck hope you get it.It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.
