Hi I live in California and I was condering taking a job with the dept of corrections...can anyone give me any details about the job...besides whats on the website...ex. how are the shifts 5 on 2 off or 4 on 3 off...hows the city/town of Torrington since that is more likely where i would be since theyre opening the new facility?

Also what is good income in wyoming for single person household? WDOC officers make about 34k...which in california aint much...is that good for wyoming?

Torrington is a fairly small town. Nearest larger city (over 10K) is Scottsbluff, NE. The pay is ok for the area. If you are used to a busy fast paced life, understand that watching the corn/wheat grow is considered high entertainment.

34k in Wyoming is good. You have cheaper utilities, less sales tax, and no state income tax compared to Cali. I also responded to you in your other thread. I saw you were from San Diego and I think Torrington would be a huge culture shock for you. Life is so much slower there in Wyoming.
