  • Speaking of License Statuses..

    What's your take?

Driver of a stopped vehicle is REVOKED with OCCUPATIONAL. The driver is NOT operating in compliance with their occupational. Is this a restriction of driver's license violation or a OAR violation?

I have heard both, I have always went OAR route. My opinion on this is because the driver has a revoked status, when they are not in compliance with their occupational, there status is revoked.

    Thoughts?

OAR is the way to go. If they are operating during their allowed hours but doing something outside of the perameters of the occupational then it's a license restriction violation. If they are opearting outside of the hours they no longer have the temporary "valid" driving status so it reverts back to the status shown by DOT.

I agree with the above. When they're outside of their hours they do not hold a valid driving status.

Cite for OAR and go 10-8.
