You need to be more specific what agency's fitness standards are you looking for?

Use the cooper standards. These are the usually the frequently used standards departments go by

90% of agencies in WA use Public Safety Testing to conduct the physical/written tests....if you can run 1.5 miles in 14 min. 300 meter sprint in 50 sec. do 25 pushups and 40 situps you will be fine...these numbers are aprox. it's been awhile since I've taken the test.

Check out their website. www.publicsafetytesting.com it will tell you the agencies that use them and give you an explanation of each event as well as minimum and maximum socres for the physical test.

I had assumed that the fitness standards were a common set for every agency through out the state of Washington. Like it is here in New Mexico pretty much all the agencies here use the same fitness requirements due to the fact that all but 3 or 4 go through the state academy in Santa Fe.

Also remember that the minimum acceptable scores often will not get you hired by many agencies, and if you can't max the test the PT in the academy is not going to be pleasant if you can do it at all. PT troubles is a significant reason individuals resign from the academy. Do the prep work, it will make your academy experience more enjoyable.
