  • Publicsafetytesting.com question

Each agency has seperate age requirements that get posted on publicsafetytesting.com. The company (publicsafetytesting) says that it is the applicants responsibility to verify with each agency that you meet the required age. My question: is this really necessary? Should I trust what is on their website or should I do the prudent thing and contact each department?

Sometimes websites make errors in their ads. If they list the wrong information they could be liable for the damages suffered by an unqualified candidate who takes time off from work and travels a great distance to compete in and get rejected from a test they were never qualified for in the first place. Hence, they list a disclaimer to place responsibility for verifying information on the applicant.

I will check. I have already found that the information provided for King County Sheriffs on publicsafetytesting.com and the sheriffs web page is incongruous.
