  • Fed/State laws concerning firearms and children in the home

I have looked and cant seem to find anything in either the RCW or Fed law that says it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon around your children or have them in your home if you have children.

As far as I know you can legally carry a concealed pistol around your children if you hae a Wa State CPL. And I have never heard that it is against the law to have firearms and children in the home at the same time.

I know the common sense stuff like making sure they are secured or have trigger locks on them, but there are no laws requiing this are there?

Can anyone of our officers enlighten me on this please. If there is a RCW or fed law on this could yo please site it for me?

    Thanks.

None in the RCW. The only thing close is where you can carry (IE bars, schools etc.)

Why would it matter if your kids around, that doesnt make sense, so you can only protect your self when alone? Why would you even ask some thing like that?
