Is UD getting that bad a friend of mine went to FPS in DC and hates it,Bad leadership. If UD is that bad I guess I wont transfer to that agency ether.

brother, look for another job. FPS is broke. We are 50 million in the hole. We are the only LE agency that is funded by a security fee that is charged to all agencies that are in GSA space. This fee is 35 cents a square foot, that does not pay for much. People all over are having to pay out of their pocket for dry cleaning, pay for food for the k-9, printer, paper, etc. There was a strong rumor of a rift, but that died. Unless FPS gets funded directly by congress we are screwed. I heard they did the 2008 budget with no extra money and no direct funidng. You may see position open time to time, but don't expect much.

Man, that sucks. FPS has the potential to be an awesome agency. I can't believe they're broke, I would have thought things got a lot better after they became part of ICE.

Help me out here, Does every FPS officer get a G ride or do you have to be a SGT, K9, ERT etc? And they are not covered by a 6C retirement??

The last information I got was that each officer got a take-home cruiser. And no, FPS Police officers are not covered under 6C retirement (like most 0083's with the exception of Capital, USSS uniform, Supreme Court, LOC)

Thanks for all the replies again frist. I was just wondering how will be the interview or orientation gonna be? (Interview will be after the exam right?) I meant, what will they take ask you? like why you want to join the LE....BLAH BLAH BLAH........Well, the reason why I am asking this is because I was born and raised in China, came to the U.S 1996, got my citizenship in 2002........English still not really good.
