Its a good time for a new Police Chief to come in, theres alot of changes coming and the Director of NIST wants the police to be full service agency and up to speed with montgomery county, they are separating the access control from the police services to 0085 guards, so no more posts just patrol and traffic.... They want to bring in somebody for police chief that is from the county or state at the admin management level to help reorganize the agency and bring it up to speed...

Why was the position re announced from an 0080 series to an 1801?

They changed the series to 1801 because Commerce downtown wants in to be a security specialist gig, they make alot of there agents 1801 as well. cause for some reason they are getting away from 0080.. If he has what it takes I hope he gets it!!!! Im sure it wont take him long to weed out the slugs.....
