    Baltimore Police formally partners with Department of Defense

    The U.S. Dept of Defense and the Baltimore Police Department sign formal agreement to recruit and employ members of the US Army.

    Today, Baltimore Police Commissioner Frederick Bealefeld and Major General Adolph McQueen, (U.S. Army Military Police Command) signed a formal memorandum of understanding between the Baltimore Police Department and the United States Department of Defense, Department of the Army to establish an exclusive recruitment and employment relationship for members of the US Army and US Army reserve.

    The Baltimore Police Department is the first jurisdiction in the state of Maryland to formally partner with the Department of Defense.

    Good news for service members. Have a good stint and get a job as a cop when you get out. I'm assuming they get priority nearing their ets as long as they are found suitable for the gig.

      tried before

      The NYPD tried this with the Marines not to long ago and it didn't work to well.Some guys were getting early release from the Marines to go into the academy class .they would do 2 weeks and quit the NYPD Academy and be free of the Marines.
