Is it a good good gig an what type of service weapon do they use?

Glock 23 , Ive been there 3 years good pay great co-workers ,overtime available, 12 hour schedule 14 days a month, great benefit package retirement pension etc. Down side is you WILL be working the jail for awhile before moving into more pro active areas of the sheriffs office.If you dont think you can handle being in a housing unit alone with 70 inmates for 12 hours you may want to reconsider.

Are they quick to hire laterals? I went through the Academy that ACSO sends their Deputies too for another agency and am looking to make a move.

Ill ask the recruiters and find out for you, I would think that we do we have alot of retirements /transfers going on right now lots of spots to fill.what session where you in iwas in 120 just wondering incase i know you.
