    Finally Made It

    Well I had my final with Fairfax County PD yesterday, and I'm in! After 13 months, I can finally say that my start date is September 2, with an academy date of October 14th.

    Thanks to all of you that have provided information, advice, and constructive criticism! This is a great way to make my 100th post!

    Magistrate: "Do you have any other pending charges?"
    Drunk: "Well there's this thing where the cops said I spit blood on them."
    Me: "Wait a minute, that was me!"
    Drunk: "Oh... now you like me even less."

        Congrats!

        I'm 5 weeks away from graduating their academy and let me tell you, the time flies.

                              Thanks, everyone!

                              The pre-hire ride-along period has been a ball. I've got two more shifts left, both midnights!

                              We start work at the Academy on Monday (I believe that's when the Deputies start Jail School.) Actually academy in just over a month!
